Sri Lankan President Wickremesinghe met with Ma Yongsheng, Chairman of the Group Company, at the Kerry Hotel in Beijing during his visit to China to attend the “Belt and Road”
International Cooperation Summit Forum.
Wickremesinghe highly appreciated Sinopec's business development and contributions in Sri Lanka and said he would instruct relevant departments to continue to provide full support to Sinopec's existing and potential projects.
Ma Yongsheng introduced the development of Sinopec’s marine oil business in Sri Lanka, as well as the progress of refined oil import, warehousing and distribution projects. He thanked President Wickremesinghe and relevant departments of the Sri Lankan government for their support, and expressed that under the leadership of the “One Belt, One Road” initiative, , continue to deepen energy cooperation with Sri Lanka and make new and greater contributions to local economic and social progress.
