Petrobras, in relation to the news published in the media, informs that the Gabriel Passos Refinery, Regap, will receive investments to raise its energy efficiency, increase reliability and reduce carbon emissions. These are projects worth around R$ 2 billion by 2027, which reflect actions aligned with the company's Strategic Plan.
Preliminary studies also include initiatives to increase the refinery's processing capacity to up to 40,000 m3 per day, up from the current 26,000 m3 per day. These projects could require up to R$ 8 billion in investments in the unit, totaling R$10 billion considering the investments already approved.
The company also clarifies that any investment decisions must, within the governance established at Petrobras, go through the planning and approval processes provided for in the applicable methodologies, with their technical and economic viability demonstrated.
