16 off 2” and 5 off ½” Metal to Metal Small-Bore Ball Valves Successfully Delivered

Connector Subsea Solutions (CSS) were able to provide a fast-track delivery for a total of 21 valves together with prominent Tier 1 OEM

Among their full fleet of subsea distribution equipment, the Connector Subsea Distribution (CSD) team within CSS have developed compact metal seated ball valves fully API 17D qualified up to 10ksi.

These valves, designed and manufactured by CSD, provide a significant weight and cost reduction for the client in comparison to other ball and gate valves found in the market. This not only enables easier handling but also reduces footprint on host equipment and reduces carbon footprint while shipping.

CSD ball valves are rated to 10,000ft water depth and capable of working under pressures up to 15,000PSI (10,000PSI for this specific project). Additionally, the integral API interface incorporated into the design allows the valves to easily connect with our client’s tie-in equipment.

Ensuring on-time delivery without compromising quality is integral to CSS. Even though this project had special material requirements, the project was fast-tracked by expediting forgings, machining and TC coating process, while maintaining our high-quality standards.
