The Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority (Havtil) has carried out an audit of Equinor's management of emergency preparedness at Troll A. The supervision was carried out in the form of an audit from 21 to 23 November 2023, with a start-up meeting onshore on 17 November.

Objective
The objective of the audit was to verify the processes and systems that contribute to ensuring comprehensive emergency preparedness management.

Result
We identified two non-conformities during the audit. These concerned:
Use of VHF headsets in lifeboats
Person weight capacity of rafts

We also observed two improvement points concerning:
Safe use of protective equipment during MOB boat operations
Registration of training in DaWinci

What happens now?
We have asked Equinor to report by 23 February 2024 on how the non-conformities will be addressed and for their assessment of the improvement points observed.
