The agreement includes the new energy supply contract and the diagnosis and implementation of energy and operational efficiency solutions for the facilities of the symbolic site.

Movistar Arena, one of the venues with the most significant number of shows and ticket sales worldwide, will have a new energy supply contract, which will come from Enel Generación Chile's plants. The agreement, equivalent to 3.4 GWh/year, will enable the more than 150 shows per year that the traditional venue in Ohiggins Park hosts.

It also contemplates an energy audit by Enel X, which will allow detecting opportunities to implement energy efficiency solutions that contribute to improving the operation of the Movistar Arena facilities, generating savings, and reducing its CO2e emissions, making it one of the most sustainable show venues in the country.

"With our generation matrix, which is becoming increasingly cleaner, we can present more competitive and sustainable offers and establish new alliances. We clarify this by being Chile's first renewable energy operator, with over 1,000 customers, and the first company to close all its coal-fired thermal power plants. We are convinced that, by promoting the use of clean energies, we accompany our customers in their path towards the decarbonization of their processes, making a concrete contribution to the future of the country", said Alfredo Hott, Manager of Energy and Commodity Management of Enel Generación.

“Movistar Arena not only performs shows but is a multipurpose center. We decided to make this alliance with Enel since it is the largest energy supplier in the country. We are experts in entertainment, and they are energy experts. We seek to take advantage of this experience to apply it to this facility, which is over 50 years old and must remain at the forefront. An important part of this collaboration also has to do with energy efficiency consulting. Today, the world must be more sustainable, and we want to move in that direction. From this alliance, we hope to take advantage of all those formulas that benefit the environment", commented Alex Rebolledo, General Manager of Movistar Arena.

In this way, Movistar Arena and the companies of the Enel Group subscribe to the commitment to advance together towards sustainable development, considering the current environmental context, where renewable energies become a fundamental tool to combat climate change. This way, we advance in flexible and efficient solutions such as photovoltaic, light, water, thermal, and electromobility.

On his part, Claudio Candia, Enel X's Business and Industry Manager, said that "an alliance is born with a high development potential, where the same vision converges to achieve sustainability and start the process of decarbonization of the Movistar Arena facilities, electrifying its operation by incorporating solutions based on renewable energies."

Promoting decarbonization and energy transition through the incorporation of clean energies has not been a foreign activity for Enel Generación Chile and Enel X, since 2021 they have forged several alliances seeking to reduce the environmental impact and promote responsible and respectful practices with the environment, always through an integrated offer.

In this sense, the agreement with Movistar Arena adds to the efforts to promote sustainable shows and sports in the country, joining the sports lighting projects implemented in the National Stadium, the Catholic University Stadium, in Club Hípico de Santiago, Hipódromo Chile, among other venues.
