The Gazprom Management Committee took note of the information about the progress of additional gas infrastructure expansion in the year 2024 in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, namely the efforts for bringing pipeline gas to the boundaries of private households and boiler houses of medical facilities and educational entities at no cost to the consumers.
This work has been underway since 2021 in line with the instructions of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, and has already yielded considerable results. More than 1.155 million households were provided with the technical possibility of taking part in additional gas grid expansion. As of today, pipeline gas has reached the boundaries of over 886,000 households under the existing contracts. As before, the major portion of the works (75 per cent) has been performed by the gas distribution entities (GDEs) of the Gazprom Group.
As many as 465 contracts have been signed with medical facilities and educational entities, and a half of them (i. e. 233 contracts) have been performed.
Pursuant to the instruction given by the Russian President, the additional gas grid expansion program is slated to continue indefinitely. All required information about the opportunities for getting connected to gas networks is available on the website of the Single operator of gas infrastructure expansion (SO) (https://connectgas.ru/) and the Public Services Portal. One can also receive the relevant information via the client centers of the Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Group, the SO contact center (8-800-101-00-04), as well as at general meetings of homeowners and during house-to-house rounds performed by the representatives of the corresponding municipalities and the GDEs.
The constituent entities of the Russian Federation provide persons entitled to benefits with subsidies for the construction of gas pipelines within the boundaries of land plots and installation of in-house gas equipment.
