Direction Generale des Hydrocarbures (DGH)

A Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) autonomous, responsible for the implementation of oil policy defined by the State, management and development of national resources optimal hydrocarbon was created by Decree No. 346/PR / MERH April 22, 1977. It was first acquire greater mastery of strategic business benefits that natural assets that are large reserves of oil which the State should legitimately get the best financing for economic and social development the country, and allow a changing international scene, to make a substantial contribution and enlightened in the various politico-economic.

DGH is responsible for exploration, exploitation, transportation, oil and gas, refining of crude oil and petroleum product distribution, as well as administrative, technical, scientific tending ensure, in the interests of the state, the development of oil and gas exploration, development fields, the promotion and development of hydrocarbon industries.
