Scope  Kirby In Situ Oil Sands project located approximately 85 km northeast of Lac La Biche in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo. The SAGD technology are used to extract bitumen from McMurray and Wabiskaw formations.

Kirby (North)
- Phase 1 of 10,000 bbl/d production capacity, which was acquired from Enerplus Resources will expand to 50,000 bbl/d (7,949 m3/d), targeting the McMurry formation, and it will start up in 2016.
- Phase 2 with a capacity of 30,000 bbl/d, targeting Wabbiskaw formation, and it will start up in 2019.

Kirby (South)
- Phase 1 is under construction with capacity of 40,000 bbl/d, targeting McMurry formation and it will start up in 4Q 2014.
- Phase 2 with a capacity of 15,000 bbl/d, targeting Wabbiskaw formation and it will start up in 2020.

The Kirby Expansion Project production will be a total of 140,000 bbl/d of bitumen over approximately 30 years. The expansion project area will be located in Lac La Biche County, Alberta, with most of the proposed project development to occur within an area located in Townships 73, 74, and 75, Ranges 7 and 8, and 9, West of the 4th Meridian, approximately 20 km east of Grouse Project….
