Kaabi meets chairmen of three major Chinese energy companies

His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, met separately in Beijing with Mr. Dai Houliang, the Chairman of China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), and Mr. Ma Yongsheng, the Chairman of Sinopec Corp., and Mr. Wang Dongjin, the Chairman of China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). Discussions during the meetings focused on QatarEnergy relations with the three Chinese energy companies and means to enhance them.

CNPC and Sinopec are partners in Qatar’s prized North Field Expansion projects and have signed 27-year LNG sales and purchase agreements.

The meeting was attended by senior executives from QatarEnergy and QatarEnergy LNG, and from the three Chinese energy companies.
