Intertek, a leading provider of quality testing, inspection and safety services to a wide range of industries around the world, will be showcasing its global technical service capabilities supporting the petroleum industry during the 15th annual Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC) from November 11-14 in Hall 2 of the exhibition center.
At the event, Intertek industry professionals and experts will show how they support the petroleum industry through exploration and production activities, technical inspection, quality assurance, technical staffing, asset integrity management, safety consulting and training. Intertek is currently involved with the UAE’s and other local National Oil Companies in the region delivering third party inspection, expediting, quality assurance & control and asset integrity management services on eleven major projects. In addition to this Intertek is providing similar services to international engineering companies, EPC contractors and local manufacturers and suppliers. The UAE regional office also extends services support into Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, India, Iraq, Algeria and other countries.
In September 2012 Intertek entered into partnership with the Abu Dhabi Government Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) to support the quality program for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Intertek will provide a range of advisory services for the development of more effective quality conformity schemes for specific products and systems. In addition, Intertek will supply operational management services and quality assurance support for QCC's existing testing and certification resources as well as work with QCC to establish centers of excellence in Abu Dhabi. These centers will cover major sectors such as food and water, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, building materials and electrical appliances.
