Edgo is pleased to announce the strategic move of establishing Edgo Oilfield Services in Uganda. The launch of this operation is integral to Edgo's expansion across Africa. Uganda represents another milestone in Edgo’s evolution and reflects our continued focus on and commitment to the African markets.
We expect land-locked Uganda to witness large-scale petroleum development, including the construction of production facilities, an export pipeline to the Indian Ocean and a refinery. Edgo Service Centers (ESCs), which will be built in the northern and western areas of Uganda, will provide logistic and operational support to the major IOC's including Tullow, Total and CNOOC. The ESCs will also serve as bases from which Edgo will operate its upstream oilfield services activities.
