Tebodin’s offices in Oman (Muscat and Sohar) have been awarded for a significant Project Management Consultancy job for the joint venture Orpic Logistics. This joint-venture has been set up by the integration of three companies: Oman Refineries and Petrochemicals Company LLC (ORPC), Aromatics Oman LLC (AOL) and Oman Polypropylene (OPP). Orpic is one of Oman’s largest companies and is one of the most rapidly growing businesses in the Middle East’s oil industry.
The project includes a new refined products tank terminal with 14 tanks near Muscat International Airport. Other elements of the project are a 225 km long 18” multi-product pipeline between the refinery in Sohar and the new terminal, a 10” multi-product pipeline from the Orpic refinery in Muscat to the new terminal (approx. 50 km), and a dedicated 10” jet-fuel pipeline between the new tank farm and the airport plus all related facilities (15 km).
Tebodin & Partner is responsible for providing project management, construction supervision, detailed design review, quality, schedule and budget control services of the EPC contract. The job includes an estimated 100,000 man-hours over 2.5 years.
