The Gazprom Neft Omsk Refinery has now completed construction of its 1.2 million tonne per year capacity automated railcar oil-products loading facility (AUTN-1), construction of which has been undertaken as part of the full-scale modernisation of the plant, undertaken by Gazprom Neft since 2008. The company’s investment in this project currently stands at more than RUB3 billion.
The ATUN-1 on-spot loading facility will allow 11 types of products to be dispatched at once, on two separate rail tracks. A cutting-edge high-precision calibration system calculates tankage in real time, as well as reducing loading time. A dual charcoal filtration system captures all vented steam, returning it directly to the plant’s production process. The new installation will replace the open-gallery overhead rail facilities at the Omsk Refinery’s commodity supply base. The use of airtight and leak-proof filling technology in dispensing light oil products will ensure environmental impacts arising from production are reduced. Pre-commissioning works are currently ongoing at the facility.
