ALE and Roll-Lift have ended their Canadian joint venture - ALE Roll-Lift Canada. Following the termination of the joint venture, which was established in 2012, ALE will operate in Canada as a single business entity.

Bas Bronder, president for ALE in Canada, said: "Over the last five years the joint venture played a strategic role in establishing the ALE name in the competitive Canadian heavy lift market.

"With dedicated offices across Canada, we can not only increase our presence nationwide, but demonstrate our continued commitment and enhance our overall service offering to our local clients in the region."

ALE will operate from branches in Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal and Toronto, with the regional head office in Edmonton, Alberta.

Last year, ALE Roll-Lift transported a 258-tonne crystalliser for JNE Welding and Veolia Water Solutions in Saskatchewan.
