NOC announced on 15/01/2009 that Woodside Energy being the Second Party with the NOC of Libya in an EPSA agreement, reports that it has drilled F1-NC210 New Field Wildcat well in the Ghadames Basin to a total depth of 4,075 feet. The well is located approximately 900 km South of Tripoli, and 200 km south of producing Al-Wafa Field.
F1-NC210 oil/Gas discovery is the fourth discovery drilled by Woodside Energy in the contract area NC210, awarded by National Oil Corporation in may 2003.
Woodside Energy drilled the well as an operator under an EPSA agreement with NOC of the Great Socialist Libyan Arab Jamahiriya with interests distributed as follows:
First Party Interest (NOC Libya), in case of oil 63%.
Second Party Interest, in case of oil 37% (operator).
