One of the North East’s leading companies has announced the appointment of a new Financial Director.
Sarah Hale is joining Billingham-based Able UK with a wealth of experience across a range of businesses in the North East and says she is pleased to be joining ‘a bold and innovative business which has never been afraid to adapt to serve the needs of its customers.’
Growing up in East Cleveland, Sarah completed her A levels at Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough before going on to gain a first-class degree in mathematics and statistics from Newcastle University.
She began her career qualifying as a chartered accountant with EY (Ernst and Young) and spending ten years working across their offices in the North of England. She then moved on as Group Financial Controller with the Banks Group in County Durham appraising large mining, property and onshore windfarm projects.
After moving to Baldwins Accountants as Audit Director she subsequently joined Cameron’s Brewery in February 2018 as Financial Controller.
Says Sarah “I’m delighted to be joining Able. Having grown up around Teesside it’s a company I’ve always been interested in. It is a bold and innovative business which has never been afraid to adapt to serve the needs of its customers. I’m very much looking forward to being part of its future which promises to be just as exciting and challenging as its past.”
Commented Able Executive Chairman Peter Stephenson “Sarah joins our senior management team at a time when the company is moving ahead on all fronts. Already recognised as a world leader in the marine decommissioning and recycling industry, we are now firmly established at the forefront of the rapidly developing offshore wind sector with the huge potential of our sites at Able Seaton Port on Teesside and the Able Marine Energy Park on the Humber.”
