Ikon Science, a global provider of geoprediction and knowledge management solutions designed to improve subsurface understanding, has announced the release of RokDoc and iPoint version 2021.3.
'Today we launch version 2021.3 of RokDoc and iPoint, focusing on performance and user experience' said Nick Huntbatch, Product Manager for QI applications, Ikon Science. 'For example, in today’s release, we can leverage multi-processes on export when using the seismic time-shift estimation function in RokDoc, resulting in performance uplift.'
Other improvements include an updated version of Python for use with the RokDoc External Interface, and an MTM simulator for the facies-aware inversion technology, RokDoc Ji-Fi.
Other notable enhancements include:
- Enhanced Well Set Generation – sets can now be generated from multi-well views.
- Updated Vernik Conventional and Unconventional Shale models.
- Improved wavelet manipulation.
- Improvements to bulk editing of well and log properties.
For iPoint, a significant amount of development has been focused on a new, modern web platform allowing users to access and interrogate data using key workflows including:
- Geospatial displays and searches for wells and seismic data
- Awareness and download capabilities for attached documents
- Multi-scale well viewer that can be quickly created from scratch within the web browser via easy drag and drop controls
- Multi-well correlation views with linked geospatial displays
- Contouring of logs and/or markers within a selected geospatial area of interest
