Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) has appointed Craig de Laine to the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), replacing Ben Wilson who is returning to the United Kingdom (UK).
Craig has been with AGIG and its predecessor companies for over 16 years and has wide experience across a range of key business functions. In particular, Craig has been responsible for our people, regulation, corporate affairs and business strategy. He has also been instrumental in AGIG’s leadership in hydrogen and the transition of the business to a low carbon future.
This background, together with his demonstrated leadership and focus on people, positions him well to lead AGIG into the future.
Craig said it was a great privilege to be selected by the Board to lead AGIG at such a critical time for the business and paid tribute to Mr Wilson's achievements as CEO.
"Ben has made a considerable contribution to positioning AGIG as one of Australia’s leading gas infrastructure businesses. AGIG is well placed to continue to deliver for our customers and grow through the low carbon transition," Craig said.
"He has undoubtedly been a leader in putting AGIG at the forefront of helping the country move to a renewable gas future.
"The Board and the AGIG team wish Ben all the best for the next stage of his career in the UK."
Craig currently holds the role of Executive General Manager Customer and Strategy at AGIG and will commence as CEO on 1 November 2021.
