The 18,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessel "Natural Gas Huo" built by the company for Merchant Marine Mitsui officially signed for delivery. Witnessed by the company’s deputy general manager Chi Benbin, marketing director Shen Ning and other guests, Kei Hino, head of MOL’s bunkering supervision team, Lu Xinwei, deputy general manager of China Shipbuilding Trading’s Marine Business Department 3, and the company’s LNG ship chief builder He Jianghua jointly signed the delivery document. In February 2018, the company defeated foreign competitors and signed an 18,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering vessel construction contract with global shipping giant Merchant Marine. Among them, the first ship "Natural Gas Swift" was delivered on April 30, 2020. The 18,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering ship is the world's largest bunkering ship, and it is also another "star" product independently developed, designed and manufactured by the company. This "all-round" bunkering vessel has the characteristics of high "throughput" speed, high compatibility, and high coverage. The overall technology has reached the international leading level and is the world's largest and most advanced LNG bunkering vessel. At the same time, the tank of this type of ship is the first real-life design and construction of the MARK III tank in China, filling the domestic gap. In 2020, this type of ship was unveiled at the 22nd China International Industry Fair, and as the only product in the shipbuilding industry, it won the gold medal in the space information industry product category of the CIIF. “Natural Gas·Huity” is the second 18,600 cubic meter LNG bunkering ship built by the company. After delivery, the ship will be leased to Total. It plans to start its first bunkering business in December this year. After it is put into operation, it will meet with the sister ship "Natural Gas Swift" and dock at the port of Marseille-Foss, France, to provide efficient and high-quality services for the LNG-powered container ship of CMA CGM Group and the LNG-powered cruise ship of Mediterranean Cruise Line.
