DORIS and MMCOG have established a Malaysian Joint Venture named “DORIS MMC Sdn Bhd” to provide quality engineering services at highly competitive rates for oil & gas projects, as well as state of the art engineering services for low carbon and new energy projects. DORIS MMC Sdn Bhd is based in Kuala Lumpur and operates as a global engineering centre representing a long-term commitment of DORIS and MMCOG to the Asia Pacific region and a new value proposition to the worldwide energy industry.

DORIS Regional Manager for EAME APAC, Mr Francis Carmigniani said “DORIS’ reputation as a reliable supplier of high-quality engineering to the energy industry has gained us a loyal client base across the world. By offering this highly competitive project delivery model we continue to demonstrate our relevance as the engineering services market naturally evolves. We have invested several years into screening and due diligence of potential engineering partners that can work seamlessly with us and are delighted to have selected MMCOG as the right partner for delivering the high quality, competitive engineering that our clients demand.”

MMCOG Chief Executive Officer Ts. Sharifah Zaida Nurlisha added “This long-term partnership is crucial in expanding MMCOG’s reach not only in terms of its technical services in Malaysia but also in the region where we see the JV providing a significant addition of value to existing services. Since 1984 MMCOG has been involved in most of the 300 platforms in Malaysian waters offshore and 30 plants onshore, in the capacity of designing new facilities as well as modifying, debottlenecking and rejuvenating. Our 38 years of experience in engineering project delivery coupled with DORIS’ worldwide technical expertise will provide our international and domestic clients with the high-quality engineering they expect”.

The primary focus of DORIS MMC Sdn Bhd will be Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and Detailed Design of offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities. Over the course of this year, DORIS and MMCOG have successfully delivered a number of small projects together, which has allowed us to calibrate delivery processes, and establish seamless working relationships.

With its people and systems now ready for delivery, DORIS MMC Sdn Bhd is currently undertaking a marketing campaign to inform its pre-existing clients and to introduce its capabilities to new clients. It is also preparing to tender for several projects, including large upcoming developments in the Middle East and Asia.

As the energy industry continues to adapt to the evolving demands of both the APAC and global markets, DORIS and MMCOG recognize the need for DORIS MMC JV Sdn Bhd to be nimble and innovative to ensure its long-term viability. This applies not only to technical solutions but also to commercial outcomes, and the synergy between DORIS and MMCOG creates the right environment for delivering maximum value to our clients. DORIS MMC Sdn Bhd has deepened the commitment of both partners to the Asia Pacific and other regions of the world, strengthening existing relationships and developing new ones as it provides “Engineering Solutions for the Future”.
