At KACO new energy, 3-phase inverters mean: elegant, yet robust design, maximum freedom in dimensioning the PV array, easy installation, perfect connectivity, and high yields. All of this is combined in the new blueplanet NX3 series.
With no less than nine models KACO new energy stakes its claim in the field of solar 3-phase string inverters. The product family of blueplanet NX3 offers AC power ratings from 3 to 33 kilowatts. With this, there is the right inverter available for any application from smaller residential roofs up to solar-powered commercial buildings.
This next generation of inverters delivers with its enormous flexibility which the devices derive from their Maximum Power Point (MPP) Tracking and exceedingly wide operating range. Due to their 2 MPP trackers, both of which can accept more than the unit’s nominal power, the blueplanet 3.0 / 5.0 / 8.0 / 10.0 / 15.0 / 20.0 NX3 M2 are predestined for east / west facing roofs or contorted architectures. If required, the trackers will work in parallel and process double the current. Thus, dimensioning arrays with high powered PV modules facing south is just as simple.
The models blueplanet 25.0 / 30.0 / 33.0 NX3 M3 are equipped with three MPP trackers and smooth the path to the grid for every conceivable non-homogenous array. These three inverters feed in their nominal power within a large DC voltage window of 150 to 1000 volts; and continue to do so down to 125 volts.
A key benefit of the device concept is the uniform handling of all the inverters: no matter if 3 kW or 33 kW – the same action implements the same functionality. There is no need to get into different inverter details despite the large number of models.
It is not only new installations that benefit from these properties. The first generations of PV arrays are about to reach the end of their funding period, particularly in Germany. Each year installations leaving their respective funding scheme, will now be bigger. Typically, these sites warrant determined repowering. This is comfortably done with inverters of the blueplanet NX3 series. Effortlessly they adapt to existing system designs, no long searches for compatible solutions. And of course they seamlessly substitute the bestsellers of KACO new energy‘s former Powador family.
In times when PV professionals are rare and customer demand is high every minute counts. Therefore, these lightweight inverters are quickly installed – without opening the device and without special purpose tools. Thanks to dedicated plug-in connectors hooking up the DC as well as the AC is easy. Guided by a user-friendly App wireless commissioning and monitoring the instantaneous operating values is simple.
The blueplanet NX3 inverters send their data via RJ45 plug-in connectors (Ethernet connector), data logger or directly via W-Lan. Monitoring conveniently takes place with the portal blueplanet web pro – or using blueplanet web public, free of charge for PV plants up to 100 kW DC power. A WiFi stick is delivered with every inverter.
A noteworthy feature is found at the RS485 interface: Connect an external meter and the inverter will send the meter‘s data along with its own to blueplanet web. Consequently, the monitoring displays all power flows – electricity generation, purchase, and feed in. Not only does this create awareness and supports decisions if more PV power or energy storage is needed; it also enables the users to define the maximum feed in power at the grid connection point right down to zero-feed-in for countries that don’t allow energy to be fed to the grid.
The blueplanet 3.0 to 20.0 NX3 M2 are certified for more than 20 European and extra-European photovoltaic markets, among them Israel and Jordan. Further certifications are pending.
