Perforate, test, and turn over to production department.
As stated before, once wells have reached their total depth and been cased, they are not simply perforated and tested to be set into production at a later date. Instead, these wells are prepared for production prior to perforation, a process that extends the timeline. The production tubing is installed, along with all necessary safety equipment, to ensure that the wells are production-ready. This allows for immediate gas flow into the sales line once perforation occurs.
The joint decision of both partners is to perforate all gas-bearing reservoirs exhibiting similar reservoir properties. This strategy is partially aimed at gaining insight into how to optimize each well's gas production. In Bayhanli-2, approximately 30.7 metres of eight gas-bearing sand reservoirs will be perforated across five perforation runs. The AA, A, C, D, and E sand units are slated for perforation. Nevertheless, an additional 14 metres will be left for potential future perforation.
