Sonatrach announced as part of its research activities in own effort, five new hydrocarbon discoveries in the basins of Berkine and Illizi Amguid / Hassi Messaoud.
These discoveries were made following the drilling of wells:
- Menzel Ledjemet South West -2 (MLSW-2), East Menzel Ledjemet Center-2 (EMLC-2) located within the perimeter Ledjemet Menzel (block 405a), Rhourde El Helba-2 (RHB-2) located within the perimeter Zemoul El Kbar II (block 403d) in the Berkine Basin.
Well MLSW-2 produced oil from the tank TAGS 5.40 m3 / h of condensate and 6995 m3 / h of gas with a wellhead pressure of 1650 PSI in 32/64''choke. The well EMLC-2 produced from two reservoirs respectively charged in TAGI 6.88 m3 / h of oil with a wellhead pressure of 433 PSI on 24/64 choke and the Tournaisian F1a 10,739 m3 / h of gas with a wellhead pressure of 3184 PSI under 32/64 "choke. The RHB-2 wells produced oil from two tanks who debited respectively in Gedinnian 14.38 m3 / h with a wellhead pressure of 1050 PSI on 32/64" choke and in Siégénien-D 11.14 m3 / h with a wellhead pressure of 668 PSI on 32/64 "choke.
- North Ouara El Erg-1 (EERN-1) located within the El Ouara II (block 212b) / Basin Illizi. Having produced gas from two reservoirs TAGI and Siégénien who cut, under 32/64 "choke, respectively in 1478 m3 / h with a wellhead pressure of 400 PSI and 4838m3 / h with a wellhead pressure of 917 PSI .
- Hassi El Gassi-1 (HGI-1), located within the perimeter Hassi D'Zabat (Block: 427 & 439), Bassin Amguid / Hassi Messaoud. He charged from the Ordovician reservoir (Hamra Quartzite and Sandstone El Atchana) 4 m3 / h with an oil pressure of 200 PSI on 32/64 "choke.
These new discoveries consider the number sixteen of discoveries made by Sonatrach during the current year, nine of them by its own efforts and seven in combination with other companies.
