Four GC Stations to Come on Stream in SZOGPC

Managing director of the South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company announced that the company would launch 4 gas compressor stations, Varavi, Shanol, Kangan and Homa, in next five years.

Ahmad Seraji was quoted as saying that following the inauguration of Nar gas compressor station, Varavi gas compressor station with the capacity of 11 million cubic meters of gas per day is to be operational.

“Homa and Shanol GCS’s are planned to be constructed as well”, Seraji said, adding Homa gas compressor station with the capacity of 22 million cubic meters of gas would raise the pressure from 61 bar to 128.

On the necessity of GCS construction, Seraji said we need to operate the aforementioned stations to avoid the pressure drop of the reservoirs caused by drilling new wells in the upcoming years.

Alluding to other plans and projects of the company he stated oil production rise of the country by 15 thousand barrels from Sarvestan and Sa’adat Abad fields and daily production of 30 thousand barrels of oil from Khesht field with 36 API are to be achieved earlier next year. “Four new wells have been drilled at South Gashu and another 16 wells are to be drilled as well”, he siad.

He went on to say: 15.1 million cubic meters of gas production from Day and Sephid Zakhor gas fields is under study and it will be in the pipeline in 2013.

He concluded currently, 175 million cubic meters of gas per day and 580 thousand barrels of condensate are produced by SZOGPC.

South Zagros Oil and Gas Production Company is one of the three ICOFC subsidiaries based in Shiraz.
