GSA has been successful in winning a significant EPCm contract at the Wingas facility in Saltfleetby, Lincolnshire.
Due to recent changes in the Process Safety Codes, Wingas have decided to undertake modifications to their Methanol Storage Facility; including the road tanker loading equipment, and high pressure methanol injection pipework.
GSA has been initially awarded the FEED contract undertaking the engineering deliverables and the administration of procurement for the long lead items that are critical to the project schedule.
Project requirements involved all of the disciplines that form the core of GSA’s extensive expertise, including; HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Piping, and EC&I design activities.
GSA Operations Director, Martyn Whiteley is especially proud of this new package of work, Martyn project managed the original build of the Saltfleetby Gas Sites for Fabricom some 15 years ago. The original Project was the first EPC Project to be undertaken by Fabricom in the UK at that time. The site was managed by Construction Manager Keith Foster, and the original Saltfleetby project is fondly remembered by many current staff at Cofely Fabricom GDF SUEZ.
