Pipeline operations were finalized in the first line of phase 13, project director announced. Referring to the initiation of pipeline operation with the length of 96 kilometers from June 17,2017, Payyam Motamed said: “this operations including welding of 7755 thirty-two-inch pipes as well as 7795 four-inch pipes were successfully completed within 75 days in harsh weather conditions of the sea.”
SP13 director declared that wet buckle event is the prominent feature of this project which occurred some 1.4 km from the onshore. The event was resolved by performing standard procedures and repairing the defects existed in pipeline vessel ‘oceanic 5000’. It was implemented in the light of the teamwork of all involved groups including Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC), and iran marine industrial company (SADRA) within only 7 days so that the vessel resumed its operations.
It will be possible to transfer one billion cubic feet of sour gas to onshore refinery by performing 18-inch pipeline operations with the length of 6 km between the platform B and D until the next month as well as completing final processes such as Free Span Correction, Post Lay Survey for both main and satellite lines of this project, Motamed said.
This official announced “according to contract, main and satellite pipeline operations of the second line are being implementing between SADRA and IOEC”
SP13 has been designed to daily production of 56 million cubic meters of rich gas from south pars field, 50 million cubic meters of sweet gas, 2900 tons of LPG, 2750 tons of ethane, 75000 barrels of gas condensate, and 400 tons of sulfur.
