INPEX CORPORATION has entered into a membership contract with Plug and Play, a global innovation platform that helps create business tie-ups between startups and large-scale corporations and that has supported more than 2,000 startups since its inception. The purpose of the contract is for INPEX to promote joint business with startups in the energy sector. Through this membership, INPEX will participate in the Energy Program (hereinafter, “program”) launched by Plug and Play in Japan and the United States.
The program is specific to the energy industry, and its goal is to promote innovation in the energy sector by setting up cooperative tie-ups between startups and large-scale corporations in Japan and other parts of the world.
Through the program, INPEX seeks to strengthen its ties with promising startups in the energy field in Japan and other countries and create new business opportunities incorporating leading edge technologies and concepts.
